Loch Ness on new Monopoly board game

Loch ness has the prime spot on a new Monopoly game for the Highlands.

The brand new Monopoly: Highlands and Islands Edition was launched for the first time at Loch Ness on Tuesday.

The loch was voted to receive the top venue as it grabbed the square which is usually occupied by Mayfair.

Congratulations Loch Ness!

Boathouse Restaurant

Lovely lunch at the Boathouse restaurant. Just pop in for tea and cake or for an evening meal. Sitting over Loch Ness in The Abbey grounds it's a beautiful spot to stop and relax.

Boat trip on Loch Ness

A cruise on the mysterious and beautiful Loch Ness is one of the best ways to enjoy some of the Highland's stunning scenery, or for a fast and exhilarating ride try the rigid inflatable boat (RIB) trip accessing loch-side areas which are otherwise inaccessible to larger cruises. Both moored just outside The Abbey grounds.

Nessie at the Commonwealth Games

Can you see her?

The private shore of Loch Ness in the beautiful Abbey.

Delighted to see Nessie making an appearance at the closing ceremony to the Commonwealth Games in Dehli. Chosen as the Scottish icon to handover to the games in Glasgow in 2014.

Wedding day

I was honoured to be asked by our guests Mary & David to be a witness at their wedding in Fort Augustus.

Here's just one of the beautiful pictures they had taken afterwards in the historic cloisters in The Abbey.
