South Loch Ness Trail

A straight forward walk along high exposed terrain. A good cross section of conditions including riverside and woodland. The leg from Whitebridge to Foyers has some quite muddy sections, suitable footwear is required. Walk begins just outside Fort Augustus at Loch Tarff.

Highland Games

A wonderful day out at the Invergarry Highland Games.

9.45pm and the sun is still shining over the Glenmoriston mountains.

Beautiful Gairloch

A wonderful day out at the sandy cove of Gairloch beach. A beautiful drive there from the Aonach Mor Apartments (around 2.5 hours) and well worth it.

Waterfalls at Invermoriston

A short stroll through the woods gives you the best view of the waterfall in Invermoriston. Just a 10 minute drive from the Aonach Mor Apartments.

Beautiful Dunrobin Castle, just a two hour drive from the Aonach Mor Apartments and with its falconry display, superb museum and fairytale castle, well worth a visit.

Shinty season starts

If you are staying with us from 5th March, why not watch an exhilarating game of Shinty. This is the start of the season for one of the fastest, most physically demanding and skilful sports in the world. With the ball being hit at speeds of over 100 miles per hour, a game of shinty is a thrilling experience for both players and spectators alike.
